enerjoy is an initiative of the energy provider IWB Industrielle Werke Basel. The young team consists of internal and external optimists, nerds, and doers who don’t want to settle for the status quo.

IWB has always been a pioneer in sustainable energy. The government’s decarbonization mandate opens up opportunities for many companies. In order to put the Paris climate goals into practice as quickly as possible, ambitious approaches to solutions are being explored and tested. As energy consulting is a key pillar of IWB, possible digital solutions for a more conscious use of energy have been sought for some time. With enerjoy, IWB is creating a product that combines the various aspects of energy advice, decarbonization, and digitalization and thus contributes to raising awareness.

enerjoy wants to inspire, motivate and support as many people as possible to achieve and maintain a net-zero CO2 footprint for a sustainable future. This with the world’s first personalised CO2 footprint coach.

“Life’s too short to build something nobody wants.” The way in which new products and services are developed has changed fundamentally over the last ten years. The magic word: Lean Startup.

The principle behind the lean startup method is extremely simple and at the same time extremely efficient. In this method, an initial product or service is created from a business idea and brought to market as quickly as possible. The aim is to be able to draw conclusions from customer feedback as early as possible for the further development and, if necessary, redesign of the product in order to save costs and time. This is achieved through hypothesis-driven experiments, iterative product releases and validated learning.

Over the past year, enerjoy has been developed step by step together with many friendly beta users and their feedback. The enerjoy team continues to welcome your feedback:)

enerjoy is available as an app for iOS and Android. You can download it from the respective stores.

The minimum operating system requirements are Android 4.4 (API level 19) and iOS 8.0.

enerjoy is currently not available as a web application.

Currently, enerjoy is only available in Switzerland.

Unfortunately, no. enerjoy requires a functioning Internet connection.

Check quickly whether you have sufficient network coverage. If this is the case and enerjoy is not showing its usual charm, we recommend that you restart it. To do this, close the app completely and restart it.

If you receive an error message or have another technical problem, we would first ask you to do the following:

1. please delete your app
2. download the latest version of the app from the App Store and reinstall it again
3. log into the app with your correct enerjoy account address

Net zero means that we remove the same amount of CO2 from the atmosphere as we emit at the same time. This can be done naturally (planting more trees) or artificially (carbon capturing).

Greenhouse gas emissions come from many sources, such as energy production, transport, land use, agriculture and forestry. In many cases, emissions from these industries can be reduced – for example by using renewable energy sources. However, it is almost impossible to reduce emissions from all these processes to zero and thus stop climate change. One approach is to take CO2 out of the atmosphere (keyword: carbon capture & storage).

It is important to start blowing less CO2 into the atmosphere in order to massively slow down climate change. We can all play our part in this.
